think: consumer
act: supply chain safety
Consumer expectations for safe, high-quality, and affordable food products are high. Years of education and available information have created awareness that safety does not start at the point of sale but rather begins at the growing phase where pesticides do not only reside on crops but pollute our environment and drinking water. Less is publicly known about post harvest treatment packing or how to prolong shelf life.

Sterisent is used for all cloning and fresh cuttings to improve cell health and immunity. Roots will be bright and develop abundant feeder root hair. Leaf disease even on a single plant can rapidly spread to an entire field causing the loss of the entire crop. Sterisent eradicates viruses, bacteria and fungi on leaves, buds and products. Farmers prefer to work with it since no safety measures are required making obsolete masks gloves and protective clothing.
Sterisent is ideal for replacing the water used in produce washers. Electrolytically generated hypochlorous acid is a powerful oxidant that is stable in solution. When saturating produce contaminated with microbial pathogens, hypochlorous acid quickly inactivates the pathogens by damaging their cell walls and disrupting their internal proteins, lipids, and DNA.
Storage disinfectants are substances that are applied to non-living objects to destroy microorganisms that are living on the objects or are airborne. The disinfection of air is sensitive to continuous action in real-world environments with outside air exchanges at door, HVAC, and window interfaces. To date quaternary ammonium compounds are widely in use yet are highly toxic. Sterisent with it’s high efficacy and safety can be used while regular human traffic continues.
Sterisent is safe and effective as a no-rinse sanitizer on produce. There are no harmful residues, no alterations in taste, no odors, and no discolorations. To date freshness is maintained by frequent sprayed with water that are totally ineffective at keeping them pathogen free.
